she's back

Forget the ground hog to determine when spring is here...we have Martha the cat to make that determination. Liam named her Martha and we aren't sure who she belongs to or where exactly she lives.  She likes to roam the neighborhood, lay in flower beds and sometimes fight with other cats. She is fluffy, missing her tail (hence the fights) and will only emerge once spring has sprung...so let spring begin.

Andrew: "Liam, do you know what Mario & Luigi do for jobs?"

Liam: "I don't know "

Andrew: " They are plumbers. Do you know what a plumber is?"

Liam: " Yeah, plumbers are fruit!"

pre k

Liam's registered and now we wait. A lottery system determines who is accepted in to the pre-k program. Hopefully lunch boxes and field trips will be part of his day this fall.   

girls only

A few weekends ago I enjoyed a girls weekend away. It was such a fun time. The house was awesome, the company was fun, the meals were so yummy, and we were only a few minutes outside of Woodstock. I can't wait to do it all over again next year.

While I enjoyed my time away, I was soooo excited to get back home to these three happy faces:

hitting home

There was devastation yesterday in a town that is very close to where I grew up. In fact, a majority of my childhood was spent here since most friends and family lived in Herkimer. A man went on a shooting spree, leaving four dead and two seriously injured. The man was identified and after an almost 20 hour standoff it all came to end this morning. Anytime a tragedy like occurs, it is awful. Especially when it is this close to home. Thoughts and prayers for all the friends & families of the victims.
