The first week at the new daycare was pretty successful. He is getting use to the new place, the new people and the new kids. I am also getting use to all things new. I guess Liam has more interest in the older kids there than the ones closer to his age. So much more interested that he decided to start crawling on his third day there. An attempt to show off his skills to impress the other boys.
I am happy that he is adjusting so well to the new place and is welcomed every morning with open arms. Something we both grew very accustomed to at his previous daycare. I am sure I will continue to compare the new to the old, but I am also hopeful that the new will (and has so far) meet all my expectations...just like the old.

root.root.root.
Over the weekend we introduced Liam to the game of baseball. We went out to support our local Tri-City Valley Cats and we wanted to see what Liam thought about the cracking of the bat. Andrew got his hands on some sweet tickets....first row right behind home base. I have to say, despite the hot, humid weather, Liam did pretty fantastic. I do think he may have been more interested in the group of funny, old men who sat behind us than the game, but really these guys were funny. I think there will be plenty more baseball games in Liam's future.

2 for 1
Liam crawled today. It happened at daycare and then again and again and again tonight. Not only did he impress us with his awesome crawling skills, but then he decided to add a cherry on top. He crawled over to his little bin that has his toys in it. After a few failed attempts, he some how managed to put both is arms on the bin, pull himself up so he was kneeling on his knees and then attempted to pull himself up to a standing position. It looked more like the plank yoga position:
And then it all ended. He rolled over and got frustrated. But I must say that Andrew and I were pretty proud, amazed and a little anxious. Liamrocks crawls!!!

7 months
Happy 7th Month, Liam! You have changed so much this past month. Your face has changed, you are growing into your features. You are really just a beautiful little boy. I am also amazed at how much you look like my Grandpa Jake. You look like him and of course have those beautiful blue eyes that he passed onto my mom, who passed them to me and now to you.
You are trying so hard to crawl. You can stand up with some assistance & will even hold on to something to keep your balance. You love to laugh, have conversations in your own little language with your reflection in the mirror and of course you love to gibber jabber with me and your dad.
You have the concept of eating down for the most part. You really do enjoy your fruits! You have also graduated to the big bath tub. You love to lay on your belly and splash in the water. Your dad and I can not wait to see what you do when you start your swim "lessons".
Liam, this month has been fantastic! You are just getting more and more amazing...making me more and more proud to be your mama. I love you, Liam!

1st
Andrew's 1st official Father's Day. Liam is one lucky little guy who has such a dedicated, loving, smart, funny, handsome ( I could on and on) dad. Watching Andrew be a dad to Liam is one of my most favorite things. He has that magic touch with Liam. The bond the two of them share is pretty beautiful. Even though Liam can't say it yet, I can tell by the way he looks at his dad; Liam just adores Andrew. I love you Andrew and I hope you enjoyed your 1st daddy day.
Happy Father's Day to all, especially to my dad.

sleeping in
The opportunity to sleep in these days is a luxury. My definition of sleeping in is any time after 6:00am. So today, I woke up around 7:30am. Sweet. I woke up to the sounds of banging coming through the baby monitor. Andrew had already gotten up, checked on Liam and was out walking the dogs. So I go into Liam's room to see what all the noise is about. There he is, in his crib, kicking his feet and pretty much wrapped up in the crib bumper. I let out a loud sigh and do what any other parent would do...go grab the camera. While I am not happy that Liam has figured out how to tear off his bumper and play with it, I do find it to be a bit humorous.
The even funnier part, louder sigh part was when I took Liam out of his crib. I told him that I was not happy with what he did and that it was dangerous (because he totally gets what I am saying). He looks at me, looks at the crib and laughs. What a stinker!

flash friday
This week seems like it has lasted way too long. We have had a couple of crap-tastic weeks, but this week things have started to turn around for us....finally! And we found daycare for Liam! And we may have another south paw in the family.
Lots of photos this week. I have been lacking with the weekly pics...so here are a bunch. Enjoy!

adios
We said goodbye to the whale tub this week and hello to the real tub. Liam was getting a bit too big for the whale tub. A sure sign was when he tried to climb/roll out of it and the fact he would kick/splash most of the water out of it...so we introduced Liam to the real tub. & it was a pretty positive introduction. I really don't think Liam would appreciate his naked baby photo on the web...so here is just his happy baby face, with suds, of course.
