Happy Birthday, Olive!!!

I have a little back seat driver...his name is Liam. Whenever we are approaching a traffic light, Liam loves to shout out what I should do red=STOP! green=GOOOOOO! yellow= CAUTION!!!!

It was cute at first, now he is just being a back seat driver.

I came in from a run to find all three of them passed out on the couch. Liam on one end, Andrew on the other end and Olive right smack in the middle. I did take a photo, but Olive has requested it not be put on the internet. I guess she is a bit self conscious about her bed head...

That was the month and year these two cuties came into our world-

 A dear friend of mine from high school, who now lives in Alaska, is the mom to two adorable girls. One is Luna, who was born a week after Liam's birthday. Liam and I finally got to meet Luna and Lilly and I got to see an old friend. It was a great afternoon spent with giraffes and camels. Thanks ladies for a wonderful day!

Sorry, we have been a bit busy here & I have not photos today.

Liam has been entertaining his Grandma N & Grandpa J the past couple of days. Today we cruised on a boat, ate way too much yummy food and went swimming. Hope to have some photos to share at some point this weekend.

What's more brutal than this temperature?

Realizing my car was overheating and the only solution to get that stinking temperature gauge down...windows down and turn on the heat. O.M.F.G! Paranoid I would get stranded, I kept the heat on all the way home (45mins). On the brighter side, I am pretty sure I came home ten pounds lighter.

And then I decided to go for a run. I thought oh, what the H! Why not torture myself just a little bit more?

I only have cherries for you. OMG Liam and I have been  obsessed with cherries! We hit up a local farm stand and have been enjoying them since. We can't get enough. Can't wait for the farmer's market this weekend.

slumber party

Slumber party with a two year and a dog...most fun idea ever, worst idea ever.  Liam has been asking to sleep on the couch lately. We finally caved and promised a slumber party on a weekend. Last Friday was the date of said party.  I am sure Liam thought it was the best thing. ever. Actually I know he does because he confirmed that Saturday morning. We blew up the air matress, covered it with pillows and what seemed like a thousand blankets, at least five stuffed animals, two adults, one toddler and one pug. O.M.G. After when felt like eternity, we woke up Saturday morning.Worst night sleep.ever. Somehow a toy bowling set made it's way onto the mattress and under my back overnight. Andrew was on the couch. Olive was sprawled out on the air mattress like she owned it and Liam slept great, when he eventually fell asleep. I was asked to repeat a story about the beach, mud pies and Olive burping at least eight times and fell asleep a few times during telling it.  While Andrew and I were completely uncomfortable, Liam on the other hand had a blast and even asked to do it again...maybe once my back recovers.

Zeppelin

I received an email today from Pamela, Zeppy's human. I am so happy she keeps in touch with us to keep us updated on Zeppelin.  She reported that Zeppy is doing well. His epilepsy has been under control with the help of medicine. She said he still loves to snuggle and sleep in and eat turkey burgers. Andrew and I love his gray goatee. I would love to give him big hug and snuggle...but I know he is getting a lot of love in Maine.

You were so proud to hold onto that leash and walk Olive. I believe she walked you for the most part. You did a really great job with holding the leash, walking at a safe pace and reminding Olive to not take too long smelling all those smells (because we all know she would keep us out there all.night.long.). I think Olive loved it, too!
