Someone certainly loves swim class. Hoping to have a swimmer by summer time.

turkey lurkey
We enjoyed Thanksgiving 2013 in Delaware this year. Turkey, family, tax free Black Friday shopping-could it get any better?

apples
Liam's first time apple picking. I am not sure if more went into his apple bag or belly. Between Liam, myself and my parents we brought home 35lbs of apples. A yummy pie followed.

Can't say I have felt more proud and excited for Liam than when I saw him get on the bus.

Date
We got a whole weekend that was kid & dog free. And we were able to finally celebrate our anniversary with frozen margaritas, JayZ and Justin Timberlake.

boo boos
Liam has the worst luck when it comes to falling...his knees are always getting tore up. This time in particular was pretty bad. He hates the process of cleaning out the cuts and wearing "owwie" band aids...truth be told, so do I.

camping
Liam's first camping trip. The weather was beautiful, but really, really hot. It didn't help that we had the one camp site without any trees above us- which also meant we didn't get any relief until the sun set. The bugs ate us alive. Olive almost stroked out from the heat. We probably would have stayed longer, but given Olive's condition we packed up and headed home to an air conditioned and bug free environment. We did get to roast some hot dogs and make smores. Maybe we will try it again in the fall without Olive.

pyo
Pick your own cherries. Liam and I have been talking about doing this since last summer. He reminds me often of how I said we would go cherry picking. So we finally did...and we were so disappointed. We ditched the idea of going to a farm down in Columbia County and went to an all time favorite farm....we should have stuck to our original game plan. We got some, but not nearly as many as we wanted. Most of the cherries were picked over. Next year we will try out the farm in Hudson and hope for a more plentiful crop.

give it a rest
Liam has been wanting to talk to Mother Nature about this weather. I am pretty sure Mother Nature will be getting a strongly written letter from a certain someone...

screening
Today Liam had his pre-k screening. We were hoping he would get into the program. It is a lottery system, and I made sure to have all the paperwork completed in full & handed in on time. And he got in! It is pretty unbelievable that he will be starting in the fall. He is such a peanut compared to the other kids that were there during his screening. So proud of him and almost fell out of my chair when he told me what he thougth of the screening:

hey liam, remember that day
we decided it was a good idea to walk up to the "big school"? And half way up that really big hill you finally disclosed you had to use the potty....after I asked you a zillion times prior to that? And remember I told you to hold it because we were almost there? And we were really no where close to the bathrooms? And I was worried that you would have to go to the bathroom in the bushes because I wasn't sure if the school doors would be open? And it was really hot out? And then you started to run and said you really had to go? And I thought out loud "oh crap" and instructed you to squeeze your cheeks and you blew your face cheeks out like a squirrel? And then we finally made it, and the doors to the "big school" were open, and you took care of business in the bathroom. Then you got to play and we called your dad to come pick us up? That was a fun day.
I made it!! Hallelujah! |

vacay
I am finally getting around to uploading our photos from vacation. I
always feel like I take a ton of pictures but really, I never end up
taking enough. I tried to get a picture of Liam's face when we driving
into the Magic Kingdom and saw the castle. I don't think a
photo could capture the amazement that was on his face. Complete awe.
Not only did we go to Disney, we picked huge blue berries, went to a
farm where Liam caught a chicken with his two bare hands and almost got
ate by a dinosaur at the science museum. We also got to spend time with
family, enjoy a little Florida sun (the weather didn't participate with
us too well) and made plans to go to the beach twice next time we visit.
Liam also thought gecko hunting with his grandpa was one of the best
parts of the trip (along with the puzzles & pistachios).
Buzz Light Year's Space Ranger Spin. AWESOME! I also am not sure who loved it more...Andrew or Liam. Liam love it and could not believe he got to be a space ranger. |
Family Selfie! We had the perfect weather for the perfect day at Disney. |
This is the result of an awesome afternoon. He was on overload and needed to recharge. |
Dole Whip! This was soooo worth the wait. |
Orlando Science Museum. Perfect place to spend a rainy day. Liam was a bit hesitant to get his photo taken with these guys. |
