a boy & a dog

Liam is really aware of Olive these days, yet I don't think he fully understands what she is. I often wonder if he thinks she is a toy.

He will point to her and say "dog", he is always scanning the room to see where she is, he shares his food with her ( which is sooooo against the rules!), he loves to give her hugs and loves to play with her. I think he really loves it when he has one of her toys and Olive will chase him around for it and he always gives it to her. He has even figured out how to open her crate door...which isn't always good. Lately, he really wants to play with her. Like to the point where he will try to pick her up and bring her to where he is....Olive probably weighs more than Liam, so he has no success with that. This morning after figuring out what his wagon was, he was determined to have Olive ride in it with him...Olive is so not a wagon girl!

We took the radio flyer out for a long walk, Olive was exhausted! And she gave in- she sat in the wagon with Liam & enjoyed it. Which may be one of the most ridiculous things, ever.This just proves how lazy Olive really is.

Happy Easter! The Easter Bunny made two stops for Liam this year. One at my parents' house yesterday and one at our home this morning. He wasn't too interested in presents or baskets, he was more interested in the eggs that were hidden. His response every time was "Ohhh" as he opened the egg to find a surprise inside.

Since Liam finished his bowl of pasta fagioli the other night we treated him to a little "mo". I know this is a long video, but i think it is cute. Especially his request for more at the end.

Liam is getting the hang of using a spoon (aka poon). He does occassionally decide to go back to his old way of eating. This is also known as the 3-S:
1. Scoop with his hand 2. Shove in his mouth 3. Scrap the food off with his teeth.

Liam loves yogurt. LOVES. IT.  So much, that when he is grocery shopping with me and he sees it and knows he can't have it, it brings tears to his eyes. instantly. Bananas do that to him, too. It appears that his most favorite yogurt is Greek yogurt, honey-banana.

Breakfast on the weekends is a bit more laid back than during the week. There just isn't enough time during the mornings before work to get yogurt out of his hair & mine) or banana out of his ears. So that is what the weekends are for. Yesterday, Liam discovered that his yogurt also makes his curls very curly & crispy...

I think Liam may need a hair cut. Andrew and I were told by a stranger the other day that we have a "beautiful daughter". Then she realized Liam is actually a little boy and apologized. So either Liam needs his curls reduced or the stranger may need an eye exam.

There are several pros and cons of being a homeowner. Being a homeowner to a 100 + year old home definitely has its pros and cons. That being said we have a long "to do" list. This past week we were able to cross yet another item off that list new roof. The crew that worked on our roof (this crew did include one female!) did an outstanding job last week. They were able to take off the original roofing, which was slate, and replace it, make any repairs (which ended up just being one) and did an excellent job of clean up. Andrew and I are beyond impressed with what was accomplished in the small amount of time. The forecast was calling for snow so I am pretty sure the crew did double time (Billy Blanks style) to get this job done. The pictures really don't give this job justice. So now that we got that out of the way, we are in the process of planning for our next project...the back yard. Andrew has been working hard all morning on the yard. At last count, there were 10 green bags on the curb for pick up.
