pre k

Liam's registered and now we wait. A lottery system determines who is accepted in to the pre-k program. Hopefully lunch boxes and field trips will be part of his day this fall.

A few weekends ago I enjoyed a girls weekend away. It was such a fun time. The house was awesome, the company was fun, the meals were so yummy, and we were only a few minutes outside of Woodstock. I can't wait to do it all over again next year.

While I enjoyed my time away, I was soooo excited to get back home to these three happy faces:

hitting home

There was devastation yesterday in a town that is very close to where I grew up. In fact, a majority of my childhood was spent here since most friends and family lived in Herkimer. A man went on a shooting spree, leaving four dead and two seriously injured. The man was identified and after an almost 20 hour standoff it all came to end this morning. Anytime a tragedy like occurs, it is awful. Especially when it is this close to home. Thoughts and prayers for all the friends & families of the victims.

I wonder every night after giving him a good night kiss & pulling his covers back up on him, what does he dream about?

Weekend snuggles are the best. Liam usually brings at least four stuffed animals, his blankie and a hard toy that always ends up digging into my rib cage into our bed. Olive will sometimes join us, too. Although she usually takes cover under the bed. And some mornings, Liam also brings his killer bed head into our bed.

Twenty some years later & we can always pick up right where we left off.
