Let me introduce you to my new nephew... Cruz (as in Victor Cruz):

He lives just outside of Nashville, TN with my brother and his lady. Isn't he just the most adorable little pup- part Pit Bull and part German Shepard. Look at those tiny white paws.

Andrew and I are officially  parents to a 2.5 year old today. Six more months to go before Liam officially reaches "big boy" status.

 I watched a video the other day which asked moms if they could go back before their first child, what would they tell themselves. I thought about that today and wondered what I would tell myself if I could go back. I think there are probably a thousand things I would tell myself. I will give you three:
1. It is not as difficult as you thought it would be (most days)
2. Be prepared to fall in love with Andrew more times than you thought possible
3.Buy a dust buster

One of our favorite places to go. The baby animals were in town and we had to pay them a visit. I am bummed that we did not get a photo of the rabbit who was pretty much the size of Liam. Seriously.

It has been one of those weeks. Lots of stuff to do in a short amount of time. This week zoomed by, which is fine with me. That means we are one week closer to our vacation. Here is the short version of what occurred this week...

Monday- Mother's Day Breakfast with Liam at school. It was cute and simple. Liam was thrown off that I was sitting with him having breakfast at school. I think he enjoyed it & wasn't too embarrassed by me.

Tuesday- Parent Teacher conference for Liam. Overall it went well. I was not expecting to hear that Liam will be moving up to preschool this summer (preschool!?!? this summer?!?!). For some reason in my head I still see him as baby Liam and not the little boy he is turning into. Actually it is great timing because his teacher is leaving in July. Her husband is a Marine and he is being stationed to California. The only concern is that Liam has been stuttering. Andrew and I are more concerned about it than his teacher. Maybe it is developmental, maybe it is more. So we need to explore what our next step will be regarding that.

Wednesday- This was our one day this week that wasn't too crazy. I put Liam in the bike trailer and we took a cruise around the neighborhood. I hope we can explore more this weekend.

Thursday- Andrew ran in the CDPHP 5k Corporate Challenge. He did awesome and I am jealous. Why you ask? He ran on Wednesday night for about 10mins and decided he was all set to run. He did and ran it in 36mins. flat. Not too shabby for someone who just decided to run.

Friday- TGIF! Well that was until I got the call from daycare that Liam was having some tummy issues & needed to be picked up. So hopefully his tummy is feeling better for the weekend.

No photos this week, but I hope to have some great ones from this weekend...if that tummy bugs doesn't linger.

Since Mother Nature finally decided to play nice, I was finally able to put my Mother's Day gifts to use...

Not the best picture, but it captured the most fun I have had in a while. Liam loved it and it was more fun than (& less work) than I imagined. I can't wait to take him on a real ride (including my helmet) and put some mileage on our new rides.

With all this soggy weather we have been having Liam has been having a blast going puddle hunting. It is now part of our routine. Get home. Let Olive out. Go potty. Put on rain boots. Hunt puddles. He searches throughout the neighborhood for the best puddles...which translates to the really deep puddles. He did find some pretty deep puddles(up to his knees) and he ended up soaked, head to toe. Which really only means he was having fun. I did get this shot of him, not the best, but I think you get the idea.

 This is the result of a busy morning. A morning which included a fun swim class & throwing up at the grocery store. Andrew fully believes the crab leg display encouraged Liam to vomit. After his three hour nap, he was back to his old self- so maybe Andrew was right.

This is the life. Running around all day. Getting treats. Getting belly rubs and snuggles. Laying in the sun.
